Are you a seasoned professional or someone that knows a good deal about the home improvement industry? Do you have some good ideas for an article you like to be published and seen and recognized by other experts in your given field – we challenge you to write something captivating and informative to share with the world.
Some general rules: we do not allow articles to be of an advertisement nature, they should include some good information that our readers would find interesting and worthwhile to read – if you work or are a company that the article involves – this should not be a problem (so long as you leave the sales pitches and mumbo jumbo out) we will put a link and credit at the bottom of the article to you, your business or favorite charity – Or you can post anonymously about something a tat scandalous in the industry – we are ok with it, so long as the facts check out.
We are very devoted to promoting informative media and how to and DIY stuff – created by seasoned professionals, homeowners and informed individuals.
All published pieces should reflect NCR’s commitment to encouraging and empowering the homeowners and other home improvement professionals, and the editors of NCR reserve the right not to publish submissions that conflict with our mission and vision statements. (we usually dont mind so much – just look at some of our comments 🙂 )
Here are some details
Pieces accepted for publication must fit an existing column or feature section, and will be assigned accordingly by the Managing Editor.
Submissions should always have a narrative component, even when they are research-based.
Profanity will not be allowed ( But if it sounds good and the article just needs that gritty sprinkle – no worries, Just nothing hateful) in submissions accepted for publication, and appropriate changes may be implemented by the Managing Editor ( The managing Editor, really does not like to mess with other people’s writing so you should be good, maybe he can help you spell check or something)
Submissions should generally be at least a few paragraphs (or send us a picture), although exceptions may be granted by the Managing Editor under certain circumstances.
Submissions should include some sort of contact information: perhaps a name or a pen name, zipcode or some sort of location like a continent, phone number (not really needed, but sometimes we get exited about really great works and want to give you some props and share the excitement ) and E-mail address ( we want to send you the link as soon as it is published)
